Every year, Pasco County locals and visitors alike get together to celebrate Chasco Fiesta, an annual event that aims to help local nonprofits and provide unforgettable memories in the process.
For local business owners, this year’s event—which spans from April 1st through the 9th—is a great way to get to know the community and see what your peers are up to… and you’ll have fun doing it!
In today’s blog, we’re looking at some of the biggest highlights of the event—so pick a few you love and get out there.
Bay Area Music Showcase
Head to Sims Park on April 3rd to enjoy live music by some of the Tampa Bay Area’s greatest talents. Starting at 1 p.m., this is a great chance to head outdoors and soak up the beautiful weather—all while listening to exceptional local voices like Jule Vera, Fast 4 Ward, Time Bandits and Franc Robert & the Boxcar Tourists.
Chasco Fiesta Market and Arts & Crafts Village
This portion of the fiesta is dedicated to selling and showcasing art, gifts and other unique finds. Held on April 2nd and 3rd, the market and village spot is the perfect place to get to know other local vendors and their businesses, and perhaps bring home something special in the process.
Chasco Fiesta Street Parade…
It wouldn’t be Chasco Fiesta without a good old-fashioned street parade! This year’s parade will take place on April 2nd in Downtown New Port Richey.
…and Boat Parade
If you can’t get your fix of parade fun on April 2nd, don’t worry—there’s a Chasco Fiesta Boat Parade just one week later! Held on the Cotee River, this parade—which is said to be the oldest boat parade in the state—is a can’t-miss extravaganza for Pasco County’s most spirited boaters to hit the water and have some fun. This year’s theme happens to be “All About Music,” so we’re sure it will be a memorable event.
Chalk Art Festival
The Chasco Fiesta Chalk Art Festival is the place to show off your street paint chops or admire the great work of others. This unique part of the Fiesta, which takes place on April 9th, serves to benefit the Pasco Mental Health Foundation.
Native American Festival
Finally, don’t miss out on the Fiesta’s Native American Festival. This portion of the event celebrates Native American’s instrumental role in shaping our state and nation, and will feature music and dancing as well as presentations on Native American culture.
The long loved Chasco Fiesta is known for its food, music and fun—but also, and perhaps most importantly, its contribution to the community. We hope to see you at this year’s event!
